I have done some more face charts to show some other ideas that I had for my interpretation of Frankenstein's Monster.
One of the ideas that I had was to show him as a 'normal' human being, and just use black to add the look of 'death' to him. I also wanted to include quite harsh contouring so that he does look gaunt and even more like he was born from death. I would also like to use Collodian to create scars on his skin, I am debating about whether to keep this away from his face and just on his body. I thought that keeping him look like a normal man would show him to look like anyone else in the book, and show what he is underneath what everyone else sees.
Another idea I had was to show the way that the Monster sees himself- as the 'fallen Angel'. For the face chart I used the Illamasqua skin base mixed with the silver from the Liquid Metal Palette as the base. I thought that the iridescence given from the product would create this angelic look. However I wanted to use black on the lids to add an aura of mystery and darkness to him in contrast with the silver. My only concern with this idea is that it would probably be better for a one off adaptation of the Monster for a photo shoot rather than a look for TV or film.
